Hello Northwoods bowlers, I would like to introduce our President Don Tess. He has been bowling for 38 years. He has been on the Northwoods USBC Board of Directors for 3 years. Don has many of accomplishments so far in his bowling career. Don had his first 300 on April 14, 2022 at Eagle Lanes and a 299 on March 28, 2024. With his 300 at Eagle Lanes which was the 10th in that house. His dad Donald G. Tess (Northwoods Hall a Famer) was the first one to throw a 300 at Eagle Lanes. So his 300 was the first 300 on the new synthetic lanes. He would throw 26 strikes in a row with games 1-3. Besides bowling being a favorite thing he likes to do, he likes to play softball, officiate high school basketball, baseball, softball. He is true Brewers fan, as he’s been a season ticket holder for the last 16 years.
Hello Northwoods bowlers. On this spotlight of the Northwoods USBC board, I would like to introduce our Vice President and Tournament Director Mike Bourcier. He has been bowling for 48 years. He has been on Northwoods USBC 7 years with 6 years as Vice President and 1 year as President. He also has been on RBA for 10 years as association manager. Also, on Antigo Bowling Association for 10 years, also as association manager. Mike has many accomplishments in his bowling career. He was inducted to the Northwoods Hall of Fame in 2021. He has 45-300 games, 30-800 series, with high series of 850. His highest average of his bowling career was 241. He has been Head Coach of high school and middle school for 12 years. He has been a youth league director for 12 years. He has won multiple association championships including team, doubles, singles, and all events. He also was Central WI Non-Pro Champion. Besides bowling being a favorite past time, he like to play golf, camping, and spending time with family.
Association Manager Dawn Greenman

Director #2 Penny Carter

Hello Northwoods bowlers. On this spotlight of the Northwoods USBC board, I would like to introduce our Association Manager Dawn Greenman, she has been bowling for 50 years. She has been on the Northwoods USBC for 3 years, this is her 2nd year being association manager. She was on Clearwater Woman's Bowling Assocation in Florida for 3 years and also in the Clearwater Woman's Hall of Fame. Also was in the youth court in the Joliet bowling area. She has many bowling accomplishments, 3-300 games, multiple 700's with 782 being her highest series. She has placed in many State and National tournaments. Dawn grew up in a bowling family, her father helped her accomplish a lot in her youth and has an adult. Besides bowling being her favorite thing, she likes to play darts, spend time with her husband Scott and her two dogs Roscoe and Mak.
Director #3 Jo Waltenberg

​Hello Northwoods bowlers. On this spotlight USBC board, I would like to introduce Jo Waltenberg. Jo has been on the Northwoods USBC board for 8 years as a director and past president. She was on the Merrill USBC board for 3 years as a director and association manager. Jo has been bowling for 40 years. She has many bowling accomplishments. She was the winner of the 2025 Woman's Championship for Northwoods. She has placed in many state and National Woman's Championship tournament. She also has placed in the WI State 600 and local tournaments. Jo has won the WI State 600 Kathy Josephson Award. Outside of bowling Jo enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and fishing. Thank you Jo for all you do and being a great person.
Director #5 Sharon Cline

Hello Northwoods bowlers. On this spotlight of the Northwood's USBC board, I would like to introduce Sharon Cline. Sharon has been on the board for 8 years and previously before the merge was on the Women's Board for 30 years. She has been enjoying this amazing sport of bowling for 54 years. She has many bowling accomplishments, such as: She placed in many state and local tournaments. She also enjoys bowling in Women National's. Sharon is in the Northwoods Hall of Fame. She took 1st place in Women's Senior Tournament in all events. She has held office positions such a president, secretary and treasurer. She is currently President and secretary in leagues at Nick's Hodag Lanes in Rhinelander. She is Secretary/Treasurer of the Rhinelander 600 club for many years. Some of Sharon Favorite things to do Bowling of course. Spending time with her family and taking care of her mother. She loves going to craft shows. Sharon has a great heart and has done a lot for the bowling community.
Director #6 Nick Plouff

Hello Northwoods bowlers. On this spotlight of the Northwoods USBC board, I would like to introduce Board of Director Nick Plouff. Nick is the owner of Nick's Hodag Lanes, He has been on the board for 7 years and was on the RBA for 3 years. He has been bowling for 41 years. Nick has many bowling accomplishments. He has 74 sanctioned 300 games and 29 sanctioned 800 series, with 858 being the highest. In 1992 he was Wisconsin State Youth 500/600 Club Champion. 2007/08 PBA Midwest Region Rookie of the year award winner. He has 23-Summer Series Tournament Titles. 5-Rhinelander BA City Tournament Titles, 1-Northwoods USBC Association Titles. 1-Northwoods USBC Association Title. 2-Wolf River Non-Pro Titles. 1-CBA title (sun Ray 2019). 6-Top five CBA(Minneapolis) Tournament finishes. 2-top 70 Wisconsin State All Events finishes. 2020 Chippewa Valley Match Game Champion. 4-top 5 finishes at the Chippewa Valley Match Game Champion. 2019 Sun Prairie Lanes Over 40 Trios Champion. 2018 Wisconsin State Doubles 3rd place. 2006,2008,2009,2010,2011 & 2013 Woodruff Lanes Scratch Champ. 3-Top 5 finishes at LaCrosse All Star Fall Classic. 2018 Whitetail Lanes Marathon Champion. 2-time Tomahawk BC Bowler of the year Champion (Top 10 ave. Tourney). Besides bowling Nick enjoys golfing and spending time with family. He enjoys running his bowling center.
