Youth Bowling in the Northwoods USBC Association
Youth bowling leagues are a blast! A great way to be part of a team, build morale, socialize, and enjoy some recreation! Also, by joining a youth league and becoming certified through the United States Bowling Congress, you have the ability to share in the OVER $6 MILLION in scholarship money awarded annually!

Scholarship information
The Northwoods USBC will be awarding one scholarship in the total amount of $500 that will go to a graduating high school senior from our association. All scholarship funds will be deposited into the USBC Smart Program under the bowler's name.
The deadline to apply is March 7, 2026.

Middle and High School Bowling

For youth bowlers looking to bowl beyond junior league, our area has middle school and high school teams based out of Nick's Hodag Lanes in Rhinelander. That season is run through the BCAW (Bowling Centers Association of Wisconsin) and generally runs from October to March.

Rhinelander Results from Wisconsin USBC Youth Championships
Alsager takes first in boys scratch singles and second in boys scratch all events
The 2026 Wisconsin State USBC Youth Championships concluded April 12 following two months of competition in the Milwaukee area.
Three Rhinelander junior league teams, made up of 11 bowlers, traveled to the tournament in late February. Several competitors posted strong performances and maintained their positions through the end of the event.
Oren Alsager led the way for Rhinelander, competing in the boys scratch division in both singles and all-events. The Three Lakes junior captured the state title in singles, finishing first out of 143 bowlers with a score of 771. He also placed second in all-events out of 132 bowlers with a total of 2,145.
In the boys 161–190 average singles division, Rhinelander High School senior Dom Hakala finished 47th out of 335 bowlers with a 672 series.
On the girls side, Elcho junior Alyssa Habeck placed eighth out of 154 bowlers in the 131–160 average singles division with a score of 600. Natalie Dellenbach followed in 11th place with 586.
In the same division’s all-events standings, Habeck placed 15th out of 149 bowlers with 1,667, while Dellenbach finished 31st with 1,603. Charlotte Preuss added a 38th-place finish with 1,594.
In doubles competition, the duo of Alsager and Habeck placed 47th out of 173 teams in the Class 1 (331–380 average) division with a score of 1,234.
Team competition saw Rhinelander 2 — Dom Hakala, Jackson Fuss, Eli Miller and Charlie Duquaine — place 13th out of 87 teams in the 641–720 average division with a score of 2,350. Rhinelander 1 — Alsager, Habeck, Dellenbach and Preuss — finished 27th in the same division with 2,282.

Eagle River Results from Wisconsin USBC Youth Championships
Blasier, Doppke take fourth in doubles action, Blasier also takes 16th in All-Events for boys
The Eagle Lanes junior league sent four teams to this year’s competition, held in Menomonee Falls and Waukesha. Several Eagles Lanes bowlers walked away with strong finishes following the completion of the state tournament.
The doubles team of Easton Blasier and Phoenix Doppke claimed fourth place out of 206 teams in the Class 4 (200 and under average) Division with a combined score of 870. The team of Gavin Shepherd and Jase Shepherd, also competing in that division, took 45th with a 749 score.
In the Class 3 (201-260) Division, the doubles team of Lydia Poling and Alden Barron grabbed 45th out of 229 teams with a 934 score.
In singles action, Blasier was 26th out of 225 in the 100 & under division with a score of 434. On the girls’ side, Hailey Randall-Crow nabbed 39th out of 84 in the 161-190 division with a 600 score, while Jayme Randall-Crow and Lydia Poling each tied in 47th out of 169 in the 101-130 division with a 461 scores.
Two Eagle River bowlers placed in the top 50 for All-Events after the tournament. Blasier was 16th out of 226 bowlers in the 100 & under division with his combined score of 1262, while on the girls’ end Lydia Poling was 47th out of 169 in the 101-130 division with a 1361.
Next year’s Wisconsin State USBC Youth Championships will be held in the Green Bay area at Buzz Social and The Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley.
